This beautiful walnut game table is a vintage French reinterpretation of a piece in the Louis XV style. When closed, it is a pretty console table with a headband decorated with shells and leaves enhanced with gilded lines.
By moving the legs apart, you can open the top to reveal a green felt game mat that conceals a storage compartment for cards and other board games.
Whether you play or not, you'll love it!

More Information
Style: Louis XV
Louis XV, known as the "Beloved" reigned over the kingdom of France from 1715 to 1774, he was the only king of France to be born and die at the Palace of Versailles.
The Louis XV style is characterized by its elegance and lightness. It is recognizable by the grace of the curved legs of the furniture with "pied de biche"(deer foot).
The wood is natural, gilded or painted. The "rococo" style ornamentation is inspired by nature and exoticism.
